This week we are featuring:

It is 50% off!
Click on the picture above to check it out in our store!

This CVC center features 20 different chimneys with pictures and stockings to spell each word. We have also included recording sheets too!

We split the 20 words into 4 different bags with 5 words each to allow more students to complete the center at the same time.

The children lay the chimneys and stockings on the carpet in random order.

Children look at each picture in the chimney and use their knowledge of consonant and vowel sounds to spell each word. To spell a word, they hang the stockings on the chimney! So much holiday fun!

Above the children were just laying the stockings on the chimney. Another idea would be to put Velcro on the the stockings so the stockings stay in place. Both methods work beautifully!

Here is an example of one of the recording sheets.
We also included a differentiated version!

We hope your children love hanging their stockings to practice spelling CVC words too!

All I Want for... BLACK FRIDAY Linky + Giveaway!

We are very excited to start celebrating Black Friday with our blogging buddies over at The Primary Pack! All of us are sharing a few products from our stores that are the most wish listed by our fellow teachers on TeachersPayTeachers as well as some items that we have on our own personal wish list.

We are also having a HUGE Black Friday Giveaway,
check it out below, you don't want to miss it!

There are so many wonderful products out there on TpT, that we had a hard time choosing! Here are a few products that we have on our wish list:

1. We Scream for Ice Cream Digraphs - These digraph puzzles from Jennifer Russell Drake are perfect for literacy centers! They are easily differentiated and very colorful!

2. Find My Picture....A to Z! - Jennifer Russell Drake has these fun pretend tablets in her store for letters and sound practice. Children can pretend to use technology, even if your classroom doesn't have tablets. They clip the words that begin with the letter shown on each card. Our kiddos LOVE anything involving clippies!

3. Snowball Addition - This pack is from Differentiation Station Creations and it includes tons of snow-themed addition materials...numberlines, games, centers, math mats, and more! It also goes up to sums of 20 and has materials for missing addends too, so it is great for all levels of mathematicians in our classrooms!

4. Penguin Math Scavenger Hunt - Differentiation Station Creations made this great penguin-themed counting pack. It is full of activities and printables with numerals, ten frames, and set of penguins from 0-20. We learn about penguins in a couple of weeks, so this would come in handy!

Here are some products you have to see at Kelly and Kim's Kreations! These are some of our most wish listed products for the holiday season!

1. Sounds of the Season (beginning sounds sorts)
Sorting ornaments and decorating trees based on letters and sounds? Yes, please! Children can look at pictures on ornaments, isolate the beginning sound and find the tree with the correct letter on it and trim each tree. Good, colorful holiday fun with a purpose for learning also!

2. Let it Snow! (counting and tally marks with snow globes)
Children will have a blast searching through the winter snow globe scenes to count and tally how many items they can find in each scene! It puts I-Spy, counting, tally marks, and holiday excitement into one activity!

3. Santa's Speedy Schedule (telling time to the hour)
This game is seriously SO much fun for the children (and us, haha)! Children will race to read Santa's Speedy Schedule in their teams and deliver the right presents on time by reading analog clocks to the hour. TOO much fun! The game materials below give you an idea of how it works...

4. Christmas with Turkey Claus (activities for reading, writing, and math)
We are reading Turkey Trouble (by Wendi Silvano) this week and the children love the turkey's disguises so much that we carried the idea over to Christmas and made a pack for Turkey Claus! Included are activities for reading, writing, number stories and more!

5. There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow (retelling, writing, and math)
Who loves the "old lady" books?!? ALL of our students...EVERY year! This is one of our best-selling products and a hit with the students for sure. It includes retelling, reading, writing, and a spinner game and graph for math. Great fun for your class when it's cold and snowy outside!

Product Swap with Miss Peluso....PLUS a Giveaway!

We are very excited to tell you about a product that we swaped with Miss Peluso's Kindergarten.
You can visit her blog here and also her TpT store here.

Photobucket

We were excited to get her "All About Numbers 1-10" pack to use with our children. We have been working very hard to build number sense since the beginning of kindergarten and we are always looking for new and fun ways to get the children motivated. Please check it out!

Playdough Mats
Who doesn't love playdough? We have only met a few children that don't like it. It can be so much fun. Not only is it good for our fine motor and creativity, it also a great tool to learn our numbers. Here a child is filling up the number three with playdough. Then she will add three playdough balls to the ten frame to show three in another way!
The children loved these!

Number Puzzles
The children loved these puzzles! They worked together to piece together the numerals, number words, and ten frames for numbers 1 through 10.

Picture Puzzles
These were a hit with our children! We printed them in black and white and had some of the children color them with either markers or crayons. They then worked to put them back together.
First, they laid the puzzle on the carpet in random order.

Then, they put the puzzle back together by putting the numerals in order from 1-10.

The finished product reveals a cute picture!!

Here is another child putting together a picture of children on a seesaw.

 Number Towers
We built towers with Unifix cubes after spinning number spinners. Children then put the towers on the right number. The partners played until they covered all of the numbers on their paper.

Ready for a Giveaway!?!
After trading products with Miss Peluso, we both decided to host a giveaway for the product we swapped. You can win a digital copy of the "All About Numbers 1-10" featured above!
Simply enter this Rafflecopter below and check back on Sunday morning to see if you're the lucky winner!

Double Your Luck!

Head over to Miss Peluso's blog later today to check out our Gobbling Up Beginning Sounds pack and how she used it in her classroom. You can enter to win a copy of it too! Good luck!
