Lastly, we ended the day with our Holiday Party where we made reindeer food, candy cane ornaments, and Rudolph bags! The children also played Suitin' Up Santa, a fun cube game where they have to dress Santa so he is ready for his big day!
Can you say tired kindergarten teachers? We know you all understand!
We have had a lot of fun with our elves this week in our classroom, we thought we would share a few photos. We each had our own elf. Kelly's was a girl, named Sparkles. Kim's was a boy, named Candy Cane. The children loved looking for the elf everyday and seeing what they would get into next.
Aren't they cute?
Sparkles loves to paint and draw!
Candy Cane really wanted to be helpful, but sharpening pencils is hard work!
Sparkles sure did love the listening center! So many books to choose from, we hard time getting her to take the headphones off!
Candy Cane loves to be a super sleuth. He had so much fun looking for the hidden Christmas words!
Someone who wears a red suit and has a beard told Sparkles how much the children love Pete the Cat so she gave the children a new book for the library!!
Sparkles had so much fun watching the children make their ornaments, so she made one for herself too! She made a little bit of a mess, but that's okay!
Candy Cane watched the children make adorable snow globes with a mini picture of themselves inside. It gave him the idea to try to put himself into a snow globe as well. Let's just say, it was a tight squeeze!
We had a blast with these cute little elves the past week. It is time to say goodbye to them for another year. We hope they have fun at the North Pole until then!
What was your favorite display of elf antics in your classroom this year?
